Healthier Caramel Sauce

Low Carb Pecan Bread

  Ingredients

INGREDIENTS 1/3 cup

coconut oil 1 Tbsp
dates 7  
honey 1 Tsp
salt ¼ Tsp
unsweetened vanilla almond milk ⅓ Cup(s)
vanilla extract 1 Tsp

  Directions

  • 7 dates, roughly chopped
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. salt

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients in a high powered blender and place the lid on top.
  • Blend on the lowest setting for 20 to 30 seconds to break up the dates.
  • Blend on the highest setting for 2-3 minutes until sauce is smooth, scraping down the sides and lid about halfway through.
  • Use to drizzle over scones, sweet breads or cakes.
