Rated 4 out of 5 by from how to fix the paddle sticking problem. For those of you who have a problem with the paddle sticking to the loaf; this is what I did.I have had this machine for about 10 years. At first I would remove the paddle just before the final rise began, then you only have a hole in the bread the size of the shaft.Then because of the heat the seal fails and you must buy a new pan. I did; but I now removed the shaft from the bad pan and cut the shaft so that when reinstalled it would be flush with the bottom of the pan. I now knead and rise in the new pan and bake in the old pan with no no shaft sticking up. By not baking in the new pan it should outlast the machine. NO CHARGE for this tip, good luck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pan breaks quickly, replacement expensive! I am VERY disappointed with this breadmaker. The motor seems good and the settings are good but the bread pan is terrible. My first pan broke quickly (rubber seal that holds the paddle in corroded) and then I purchased an expensive replacement and it quickly broke too. I have owned cheaper breadmakers and the pans never broke on those models EVER!! I thought I would upgrade my machine and have been so disappointed. It is cheaper to buy a new inexpensive machine that buy replacement pans for this one so that is what I have done. I still have the Breadman in the cabinet hoping to somehow find a cheap replacement pan. All this being said, I would not recommend purchasing this bread machine due to the poor pan construction. Sorry Breadman! I currently own (and use daily) an inexpensive West Bend hi-rise breadmaker and it is doing great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Progammable I bought this because it's programmable I have had it for about 8 years. I have a bread I make that ordinary bread makers won't bake it has an extra long rise cycle and you can program a recipe for any time mix or whatever cycles it needs. If you have trouble with the paddle tearing the bread. When the cycle is done mixing, wet your fingers and dip in the bread to pull the paddle out. Before you dump the bread spin the shaft at the bottom of the pan. This way all you have is a little hole on the bottom of the loaf.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Convection Bread Machine We order the above item on line, and it took about 7 days to get to my address, when we got the machine, we found out that there were some damage ,so we called the company and told them that the machine is damage, and they told us to cut the cord and send it to them with the all paper work that came with the machine, a letter telling them what was damage. I told them that the damage look like it was done before it was packed, because the boxes hade no sing of any damage, from shipment, we did not used the machine at all, we are waiting for the replacement at this time, when it get here we will used it to see if it will do what we want?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It Received it about a week and half ago. So far I have made seven loaves of bread. I started with the basic white and tried the French bread today. At the 1.5 lb setting it looked as if it was going to hit the glass! The first loaf was not stellar, but I did the standard adds of lecithin and gluten and the loaves are fluffy and chewy. I'm looking forward to doing the sourdough bread - I love sourdough. Being in California in the San Francisco area it's a staple in many households. The paddle stuck in the bread and then I remembered to oil the paddle. That tactic works like a charm. I also read certain tactics such as don't use iodized salt, sea salt is preferable because the iodine acts as an inhibitor to the yeast. It's not noisy but it is a machine that is kneading bread so you will hear something when it's slapping the dough around. It also looks nice, not that horrible white/off white color. The stainless/black really adds a nice touch. The controls are easy to figure out - self explanatory, choose loaf size, choose crust (light/med/dark) choose bread from a variety of selections white/wheat/French/etc etc. It comes with a book that walks you through the steps such as how to add the ingredients, and has quite a few recipes for both regular gluten bread and gluten free recipes. I opt for the gluten in the bread lol but some day I'll try the gluten free just to see what the hype is all about. Oh also, if you add butter instead of oil to the white bread, the flavor is wonderful, also be sure to add a little more butter than oil. For example if you're supposed to add two tablespoons of oil, add two and a half/three of butter. Can't remember the reason why but it works. Also, get butter for baking as the regular butter has a lower heating point than oil or baking butter so crust may bet more brown than you'd like.Here are a couple of photos. White bread, French bread rising really high, fresh baked French bread and tada the paddle didn't get stuck in the loaf. But, do beware that the paddle will be difficult to get out of the pan now because there is baked dough around it. Let everything cool down and soak it for a few minutes in warm water, that will release it.Bottom line, this is a machine and it should be treated accordingly. All machines need to be taken care of and kept clean for optimum performance. I highly recommend it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite machine yet! I have owned more expensive machines and I've owned cheaper machines. This one is my favorite. I've owned it for 2 years. We use it daily for whole wheat sandwich bread. The preset bake times are not great but this machine has a wonderful feature of programable settings. Once I set my own settings this machine worked fantastic! After 2 years of daily use the breadpan is becoming loose. I'm sure it will need replacement soon. The breadpan has been the weak point of every machine I've ever owned. with other machines a broken breadpan has lead me to purchase a new machine because the pans are very expensive. With this machine I will happily purchase a new pan - it's worth it for another 2 years of use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great on counter. Works great w/ my recipe. This is my second bread machine from breadman. I purchased this identical machine almost exactly one year ago. I make bread almost everyday, sometimes twice per day, so I know that this machine does get a workout. It is a beautiful machine and it looks good in my kitchen. It is always on the counter, because I always use it. My only problem with it is that I was hoping that it would last for longer than a year. But I was familiar with it, and I had spare parts from the last one, so I did end up buying breadman again.
