Rated 1 out of 5 by from has a lot of bad issues with machine I was given this machine by my son as a replacement to a bread machine I had used for 20 years. I lost the paddle on that one and could not find a replacement. I do not like this one, mainly because of the height issue and the location of the setting buttons. I am 75 years old and 5'6" tall. To see the settings, I have to get on a kitchen stool. Is there some way you can redo your machine to locate them on the side? I have made several loaves of white bread by your recipe and each time, it looks fine until the end. Then, the middle falls, almost to the bottom and loaf is very tough and heavy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Machine and Instruction manual need modifications Please put the cycle times in the instruction manual, with the reasons why the beeping sound is made during the cycles. Really, your solution is that you expect every purchaser of your product to stand there and note/record times for every cycle for every type of bread??? That is YOUR job. Other manufacturers provide that information. Also, why can't the volume of the beeping sound be adjusted. It is WAY TOO LOUD and annoying. For the price, I am not impressed. I liked my previous machine (by your competitor) better, which was much less expensive. Why don't you show your solutions instead of usually giving a generic answer. We'd like to see the true answers as they may help other people.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dough issue I am quite happy with this product (actually BK1060BC) except the nuisance of the paddle remaining lodged in the baked loaf and the mess it makes digging it out. I found if I left it buried until my slices reached the paddle and then dug it out more delicately sometimes the adjacent bread had turned black. Now working with just dough preparations I am regularly getting gobs of black dough around the paddle when I am ready to bake. Anyone else?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wears out quickly Purchased this last year for my wife for Christmas. The paddle has since worn out and is extremely sloppy. So sloppy it scrapped the teflon off the inside of the pan. The seal on the shaft as worn out and we find streaks of grease in our bread occasionally.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great but wears quickly, good support Works well, the "retractable" paddle is a great feature since it means it is very easy to remove the bread, even after the machine has been used a few time (after which the non stick coating usually becomes less effective). However, the drawback is that it wears quickly if you are a heavy user (we make bread at least 3-4x per week). We had the paddle become lose twice, scrape the pan (thus leaving metal in the bread) and eventually break twice. Also, the o-ring has broken once. Customer support was great and quickly shipped replacement parts under warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my machine I'm a 34 yr old stay at home mom to 3 and I've had this machine for 1 year and make bread with this at least 4 times a week, sometimes more. Personally, I don't care for the shape of the bread when it is baked in the machine, so I only use the "dough" setting and second raise and bake in a loaf pan. After a year of almost daily use, I've worn out the grease on the mixer (under the pan) and came here to look for more and thought I would give my review too. I've read the other reviews, so I'm going to try to put my thoughts on those here for others to hopefully find out a helpful tip.Q: The machine beeps and makes a clicking sound and there is nothing in the manual to tell you what it is. A: I wondered this too and after searching the machine I discovered that the beeping/clicking sounds is the nut/fruit slot opening and dropping into the dough. The beeping alerts you to that action and the clicking is the shaking of the slot to make sure all of the contents are out. It also beeps when it is completely done.Q: The paddle doesn't stay upright so it doesn't mix right. A: I've had issue with this too, so I put my heavy ingredients (butter, cottage cheese, etc) in front of the paddle to keep it upright. Once it starts mixing, I've not had any issues with it falling over.Q: I've noticed some grease on the bread from the paddle. A: Its a food safe grease so the small amount on the dough/bread is nothing to worry about. For me, once the bread is baked there is no evidence of the grease.Q: The display window is small. A: The manual says that during the mixing, the door can be opened, at any time, to view the process. It doesn't recommend opening the door once it has stopped kneading but I always peek at least once, just a quick look, and haven't had any issues.Q: No notification in the manual about cycle times. A: I know that each setting might be different depending on the type of bread you are making, etc but simply watching the first time around will give you the info you want. That said, I only use the "dough" setting which runs 1 hour 30 minutes to knead and raise 1 time. The knead time lasts for 30 minutes and the rise is rising time. Find out your time, write in next to your recipe and set your oven timer to remind you. You might want to watch and see if the opening of the nut/fruit door correlates with the time that you need to add your stuff because they might be the same time. If it is, put your ingredients in there and it will add it for you to mix at the right time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I also love this breadmaker, but need to replace the paddle and mixing bowl -- seems the paddle has "rounded" off and is leaving metal fragments in the bread. Where can I order these parts from? I have looked, unsuccessfully.
